Privacy policy

What we collect

Account data: your email address, username, display name, bio, avatar and settings.

Wallet data: your public wallet addresses and the on-chain transfers and trades linked to them. Blockchain data is public by nature.

Activity: posts, likes, follows, messages, P2P orders, secure deals, dispute evidence and support requests.

Technical data: IP address, device and browser information and security logs, used to keep the service safe.

What we do not collect

Your private keys and recovery secrets. Those are held by you through Privy and are never sent to PERS.

Your card or bank details. Payments are processed by Stripe or Adyen directly.

Why we use it

To run your account and the features you use, to secure the service and prevent fraud, to meet legal duties such as keeping financial records, and — only if you allow it in Settings — to send notifications.

Who we share it with

Service providers that run parts of PERS for us: Privy (sign-in and wallets), Stripe and Adyen (payments), our hosting, database and email providers, and market data providers. They may only use the data to provide their service.

Other members see your public profile and, if you turn on trade sharing, your confirmed trades. The counterparty of a deal or P2P order sees what is needed to complete it.

Authorities, when the law requires it.

How long we keep it

Profile data is deleted or anonymised when you delete your account. Payment, escrow and trade records are kept for as long as financial and anti-money-laundering laws require.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you can ask to access, correct, export or delete your data, object to or restrict processing, and complain to your data protection authority. You can delete your account yourself in Settings.

Cookies and storage

PERS uses only what it needs to keep you signed in and to remember display settings on your device. We do not use advertising trackers.
